Lisa Gade reviews the Samsung ATIV Book 9 Plus, a high end Ultrabook with Intel Haswell CPUs and a QHD+ display. This is an extremely slim laptop that weighs 3 lbs. and has an aluminum casing. The design remains basically unchanged from the full HD Series 9 13.3″ model and the Ultrabook is as stunning and well made as ever. It has a 3200 x 1800 touch screen, a 1.6GHz Intel Core i5-4200U CPU with Intel HD 4400 graphics, a backlit keyboard, dual band WiFi, Bluetooth and Ethernet via included dongle adapter. The price starts at $1,399 for the Core i5 with 4 gigs of RAM and a 128 gig SSD drive. Read our full written here:

  1. I still own this machine in April of 2020. One of the best laptops ever. I hope Samsung releases the newer version of this. No other manufacture has yet made something like this to this date.

  2. So did samsung just stop producing high quality ultrabooks like this? I have had the ativ 9 plus for 4 years now and looking to possibly upgrade.. It seems all their current laptops are plastic and not up to par with this model.

  3. Thanks for another incredible review. They continue to be the most concise, detailed, thorough, and entertaining reviews on YouTube.

Not quite sure how you speak with total stream of consciousness without any glitches, but it's so impressive.

  4. I bought this featured laptop off Amazon https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00RBDB2G0/ref=od_aui_detailpages00?ie=UTF8&psc=1. The display is supposed to be very bright 350 @ nits. But my display does not seem very bright. I have it at the highest setting. I wonder if I am doing something wrong.

  5. Please do the Ativ Book 9 Spin and Book 9 Pro. Thanks! Really want to see those as Samsung doesn't ship it to Singapore.

  6. Hi thanks for your lovely reviews. I am interested in buying the Samsung ATIV Book9 2015 Edition but cannot seem to get proper reviews on it. Would you happen to have any?

  7. I was so dissapointed with this crap pentile screen that coulndn't display yellow properly with a fake 3200X1800 reolution and a turtle slow write speed ssd, I got rid of this dogshit

  8. The only reason I'm not getting the Dell XPS 13 is because of the webcam since I do that a lot. However, is the Samsung Ativ Book 9 Plus still worth it? I've also heard there's gonna be another version coming out later this year.

  9. The company that makes ssd only offers 256G on its computer while Dell is offering 512G on the XPS. Makes no sense. This is the maker of the old Samsung Gamer 7 what a computer that was!!

  10. Will definately need the 8GB Core i7 version. My current 4GB Core i5 laptop chokes constantly when I do web-designing in Visual Studio 2008 with just Chrome open in the background (2 tabs open).

  11. It's a beautiful machine. The best laptop I've ever owned. The only issue is the touchpad and the unstable pointer. I spent the first month or so using a USB mouse, so I didn't realize the issue. However, one day I left the mouse at home and was forced to use the touchpad, only to discover that it was practically unusable. After having a Samsung rep remote into it and re-install the same drivers that I had already reinstalled numerous times, I'm still looking at the same situation. Checking the forums, it appears as if it's a known issue.

  12. What kind of SSD card is used in this machine? I am looking for 512ssd card that can be replaced with 256 one.

  13. Is this model, single core or dual cores or quad cores? I looked at Samsung official website, it does not indicate whether this is single or dual or quad cores?

  14. wtf is wrong with all of you the one ur looking for Is like the asus u38n or asus taichi
    both less than $750
